I’m living close by. I’m working at a backpackers in the mornings in return for my accommodation. Because WELS offers part-time classes I can work in the morning and go to school in the afternoon. I saw the school on the website and when I came for a trial day I saw the classes were not too big.
Nicolas from France – (course: General English)
Can you tell me something about yourself?
I recently finished a Master’s degree in Business and was working for a company who sponsored my studies.
Why did you decide to study English in NZ?
I needed to improve my English and I really wanted to discover the country. This was a way of doing both.
What is it like here?
The teacher is very good and I like the class because it is not too big for speaking.
What are your plans for the future?
When I go back to France next week I will search for a job.
What advice would you give someone coming to study here?
It is better to live with a homestay family so you can practise speaking English more.
